SALTEC Sludge Mixer (SM) optimizes the mixture of organic and inorganic flocculants andwatery suspensions of different concentrations. The Sludge mixer can also be mounted in where different media streams to be mixed before flocculation agent is added. The flocculation agent is added immediately before the Sludge Mixer through a tangential injector ring with nozzles and is mixed to a homogeneous suspension. The flocculant reaction occurs immediately after flocking agent is added and is significantly affected by the energy (turbulence) that happens in the mixer. Here you can see the efficiency of the flocculant.
The suspension takes about 15-40 seconds to get a stable flocculation. After this reaction, which on special occasions can be both over- and undercut, the suspension should float on the dewatering table to the respective thickener machine.
Flocculation may occur in the piping, mixing- and reaction chamber or in other intended equipment.
